Bellevue Mining Tours
Don a miner's helmet and lamp and follow knowledgeable guides along the paths of coal miners of the early 20th century. In operation from 1903 to 1961, pillar mining, coal chutes, mine artifacts and techniques are all explained. To experience an inky dark that seems close enough to touch, ask the guide to have everyone turn their lights off. Tours occur every 30 minutes from mid-May to Labour Day.
